Developing Business-Aware Academics launches at CABS annual conference
Based at the University of Exeter Business School, the Developing Business-Aware Academics project, funded by Research England, officially launched on 13th November at the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS) Annual Conference.
The four-year project is working to build an evidence base and programme of activity that offers doctoral and early-career researchers the knowledge, skills and networking opportunities to engage effectively with industry.
With the core team in place, and recruitment for academic positions under way, the team are setting out work with CABS and partners across academia and industry to champion the benefits of collaboration for academics and for the UK’s industrial, innovation and enterprise ambitions.
Project Director, Professor Alison Truelove, said:
“At its heart, this project aims to empower doctoral and early-career researchers with the skills, mindsets, and networks to engage effectively with industry from within and beyond academia, ensuring the wider impact of their work and promoting diverse and dynamic research careers.
We’re thrilled to be partnering with CABS and business schools across England for this exciting and important work.”
