Researcher developer survey: exploring the barriers, motivators, and enablers to industry engagement
Take part in our survey to help shape a programme of training and networking
Share your thoughts on the ways that the researchers you support engage with partners beyond academia.
Complete our researcher developer surveyWe are seeking contributions from anyone who supports academic researchers to our survey on researcher engagement with non-academic organisations. We are interested in hearing from people who support the professional development of researchers within, or outside universities, from anywhere in the world. How receptive are researchers to initiatives to engage beyond academia? What motivates researchers to attend? What are the main barriers? What could be improved? Let us know!
The survey is open to anyone who supports academic researchers from across the country, and from any institution type. This includes researcher developers, university innovation hubs, organisational development teams, HR colleagues, external training providers, and many more.
Your insights will form part of the DBAA evidence base, alongside surveys of business leaders and researchers, and focus group discussions with doctoral and early-career researchers. This evidence base will then inform the design of a training and networking programme for researchers, to give them the skills and confidence to engage effectively beyond academia.
The survey will close on the 30th of June, and will only take 10-15 minutes to complete. Be sure to complete the survey soon to have your say!
