National trial for researcher training and networking

The Developing Business-Aware Academics project has received applications from higher education institutions (HEIs) in England to trial our templated initiatives. By covering the costs of organising and running these, and providing detailed guidance and support, we aim to make participating in the trials as accessible as possible for colleagues across the sector. Evaluation data will then allow us to make robust policy and practice recommendations that build capacity for future provision. 

The applications that we have received are across multiple initiative types, and are being offered to researchers from more than one HEI via consortia, research networks, or other groupings. All initiatives are tailored to best meet the needs of both researchers and, where relevant, external partners.

The four types of initiatives are:

2. Exhibition experience 
3. Workplace visit
4. Networking event
